Swift to Love

A week ago evil wrecked havoc and murderous fury on innocent people at a music festival in Las Vegas.

A human killed more than 50 other humans, and wounded some 400 plus others.  An American killing other Americans.  Evil killing innocence without mercy.  Those lives effected will NEVER be the same.

And for us that live in American society, this latest horror of mass murder with weapons of mass destruction — firearms made for war and killing — only deepens the frustration and fear and division.

Let it also deepen our resolve and certainty that it is up to each of us to make things better.  For ourselves and those around us.  The solutions have to be found in a blend of better weapons control, and also much MUCH more attention and programs and efforts to improve mental health in this country.

The key?  It’s time for ACTION.  Sustained actions.  A sea change, as they call it.  In the proper direction.  RIGHT NOW.

It comes down to this:  “Life is short. Be swift to love, make haste to be kind”, as the minister said.  Amen. AMEN.
