Fall Festival

There was a fall festival at our daughter’s school today.

“The Fifth Annual Fall Festival at Trace Elementary School.”  VERY cool.

Great community event, opportunity to meet some parent leaders at the school, and overall good fun for all.   We got there kinda late, and I volunteered for a bit at the pumpkin patch, so I didn’t get a chance to walk around to see all the sights.

But I still have a favorite experience from the afternoon.  What was that special treat?  It was something one of the snack tables called a “Walking Taco”…and it was DELICIOSO.  Made me think of this tasty treat featured in the NPR series, Borderland.

Two Thumbs Up from this guy for the Walking Taco, and the whole production.  My hat’s off to everyone who made the Fall Festival at Trace a success.   The cornerstone of the organizational wonder?  the Parent Teacher Organization at the school — check ’em out here.

Bravo, BRAVO!
