“The hill is high, the slope is steep; that’s all well and good. One thing is also for sure: you won’t get over it until you start walking.”
I heard this characterization the other day from a leader talking about the daunting tasks ahead in coping with the next phases of supporting our communities as we continue the battle against COVID-19.
There’s not doubt it’s been a tough road; no doubt that it will continue to be a tough road.
Consider where we’ve been. What’s worked, what hasn’t. What can we do better?
Consider the science. Consider the data. What have we learned? What’s the best path forward?
And then? Then take the first step toward the hill; take the first step up the hill. It’s a doozy. But it’s not insurmountable. We’ll get over it. TOGETHER.
