Relationship is fundamental for me.

If I’m not connected to the people and things around me I don’t feel settled;

If I’m in relationship, I feel at ease, grounded.

It’s been that way on the playground, the schoolyard, the classrooms, the teams, and the companies I’ve been a part of. Pretty well the whole of my life, my fundamental truth.

When I’m connected I’m at ease. When I’m in relationship I feel more complete. It’s part of my DNA, I think, interwoven.

And yet, the intimate, romantic relationship, it’s one I still puzzle on. How to make that work long-term, a lifetime?

I’m not sure. But I believe all the same.
