Lyrics Post: “Swing Low Sweet Chariot”

This one, plugged in last minute for this week…great song I’ve known all my life it seems…

and in memory of ol’ Zona, one of our dogs, who made her final exit to the Rainbow Bridge today. She was just shy of 13 years old. She had a good life, and it was time for sure.

Our family, and especially her K9 sister Mia will miss her, but we know she’s in a better place now…

Swing Low, Sweet Chariot

Louis Armstrong, and The Sy Oliver Choir, …

Swing low, sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home
Swing low, sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home,

I looked over Jordan, and what did I see?
Coming for to carry me home
A band of angels coming after me
Coming for to carry me home

If you get there before I do
Coming for to carry me home
Tell all my friends I’m coming too
Coming for to carry me home,

I’m sometimes up and sometimes down
Coming for to carry me home
But still my soul feels heavenly bound
Coming for to carry me home,

the brightest day that I can say
Coming for to carry me home
When Jesus washed my sins away
Coming for to carry me home
