Another Lesson: Ukraine

I tackled a kitchen sink faucet replacement one recent afternoon; figured it would take a couple hours.

With calcified fittings, etc., it was about two hours until the new faucet was in.

Then when I turned on the water, the connectors started leaking. Not going to Home Depot on the moment, decided to punt and deal with it the next day.

This decision meant no running water at the sink( I’d have to do dishes in the garage utility sink just out the door until I solved my problem.

And so the Ukrainian Lesson? Just as I might have lamented my lot, I thought about the millions of Ukrainians without running water or heat as winter sets in…

And knowing they will persevere, well hell, I will too.

Slava Ukraini.
