I’ve written about this before I think, my particular belief about volunteering and fellowship. Time to have another go.

Like many things, we enjoy them more when we do them with others. I think volunteering fits into this category. And I think therein is the core value of service clubs, the “getting together” to do service work, to help others.

We meet and get to know like-minded people, we work together to help make the world a better place in any myriad of ways.

That’s the essence of service fellowship. That’s the essence of Lionism: Service and Fellowship.

Thankful to have Lionism in my life. I think it adds depth and diversity of experience I wouldn’t otherwise have. And helping others along the way. That’s pretty special; everyone’s better off.
