Heard Lucinda Williams interviewed recently; amazingly rooted career; cross-over genres, country to hard to define as such; maybe sorta a Ben Harper – type American musician. Strong.

Strike survivor too. STRONGER.

She mentioned in the interview that sometimes she takes a few years to finish a song. That was the prompt for this post.

I yearn to write. And so that’s why you all get, for better or otherwise. You get my streaks and streaks of snippets and meander; the recounts and recollections; the silly inspirations and serious insights.

You get it all. Usually in about a minute, and maybe a hundred words.

Not sure how famous this blog might ever get, but one thing’s for sure true: it’s truly me, and since I’m an American, such a writer I will be.
