Here’s how I end up most days when I have my kids… Short-Order Chef (Cook, Hack, whatever), what’s that? Four different dishes for the four people at the table? Sure, man, SURE…

Chief Bottle Washer, which means most all dishes rinsed and in the dish washer (on a good night, otherwise the sink is piled high);

Then there’s the laundry. Somehow kids churn through clothes; and so the washer is going strong; until it’s not. And so I hobble along, bailing excess water from the washer, extra wringing of the wet clothes, and soldier on. Later night, early morning wash, dry, fold…repeat.

That’s a lot of what parenting (life?) is,

Jumping into roles, doing the best you can, doing the best you can,

For the kids, for those you love, for yourself,

GOOD.
