Led Zeppelin had a song, “The Battle for Evermore” … great song; one of my favorite that iconic British band.
The song starts off rather modestly, then builds to an epic level, capturing the them from the title…
The battle of everyday at my house with my kids is far less epic, but maybe still iconic…because I suspect it’s a battle repeated across the lands, far and wide.
Moms May face it as well, but I suspect much of their superpowers are different, more effective when brought to the battle.
And really it’s not a battle; it’s just life.
“Put your clothes away, please.”
“Please put the dishes in the sink.”
“Dinner is almost ready, please don’t have another snack.”
Battle, game, life, whatever you call it…I have some success, then fall out of step in an instant. Just three kids I’m trying to influence, mind you.
But that’s ok, the “battle”, as it were, is surely endurable; hell, I’d even say iconic. But wait! I already did. GOOD.
