I find I’m most always chasing. At least, it feels it’s been that way most of my adult life. Chasing things, tasks, you get the idea. No?
Things like:
Getting the laundry done,
Doing the dishes,
Cleaning the bathroom,
Cleaning the kitchen,
Working in the yard,
Finishing my tax returns,
Getting more sleep,
Losing some weight,
Getting caught up at work,
Spending more time reading, writing,
Now…get the idea?
At the crux it’s a matter of feel and priority for me.
If I’m not feeling it (like not feeling motivated), I’m inclined to push off, reschedule the activity, kick the can down the road, as they say.
I’m also more inclined to say Yes to helping, supporting, rallying for others. As a consequence, other things come up that become higher priority, and voila! There’s another delayed action.
Always chasing. A little less talk and a lot more action might lessen that feeling…always chasing.
