Spent a busy day recently from here to there, then staying up late to play ball,

Spent the next day hustling once again, 12 hours in the salt mine, getting all mine, paying my dues, helping the cause,

Spent now, crashed in bed, scribbling words down and slowing my mind down, big pause next,

Next to having spent the time with people I enjoy and doing work I feel the same about, I feel pretty lucky,

And if it all goes away tomorrow, I’ll say it was time well spent.
