Perhaps one of the apex things one of my children can ask, especially my younger daughter…

“Hey Dad, can I wear a flannel…?”

It both delights me and cracks me up. I love it.

Not sure exactly why. I think some of it makes me feel needed. Some of it is leftover from night school or college, I’m sure; I saw girls & young women wanting to wear other boys & men’s clothes, but not so much my experience. Silly, I know, but that comes to mind too.

Mostly it just feels fun to see my prodigy wanting to dawn my check flannel, this prints and weave that holds particular fondness in my heart.

Being a dad? GOOD
