A Glass Of Water

Considering this.

When I got up this morning, I started the day this way. I went to the sink, filed a small glass with water and drank it.

I wanted to start hydrating my body for the day.

And as I filled the glass with water from the faucet, I thought about the people who don’t have running water:

In Gaza,

In Iraq,

In Syria,

In Ukraine,

In Myanmar,

In Sudan,

In Libya,

In how many other places around the world? How many places where bombs and war have crushed the lives of so many innocents, civilians who simply want to live their lives in peace,

So I pause and close my eyes, and say a simple prayer for all those people, all those places,

And feel a little more lucky that I have this glass of water to drink.
