Something Cool Last Week

I was progressively more sick as the week went on last week; congestion, coughing fits galore, muddled mind,

I spent a lot of time in bed; when I wasn’t sleeping I was playing puzzles. On the NYT app.

One of the puzzles is Spelling Bee. I made it to the top rank for the first time. Then it happened the next day too. And then it happened a third day. And a fourth day. “Inconceivable!”, as Vizzini said in “The Princess Bride”. Unheard of for me! Hat Trick Plus 1!

Mind you, full disclosure, I use the dictionary from time to time. Funny tho’, sometimes the app doesn’t accept a word I might find in said dictionary.

Whatever. I was sick at home, bummed, and playing games helped. And with Spelling Bee, I’m learning new words too (like “Hake”, a family of white fish, similar to cod), and I’m having fun. Huh, imagine, all over words.

That’s cool. That’s GOOD.
