I’m sure there are countless papers, books, documentaries made about the many aspects of different empires on human history and civilization.

My little bit to add to the heap?

Considering not only the conquests of the prevailing nation, but also the thousands to millions of people that migrated into the empire nation seeking a better life…stability, development, opportunity…

Would that we humans could create systems that would always support and promote indigenous development as such…

But then that’s scoffed at as hand-outs, social engineering with malign intent, excessive foreign aid…

Oh, what a beautiful mess we humans are.
