Lessons, maybe values too, from the ancestors, those gone from this earth,
Remembering, a curious human practice, take time to recall, from Respect and Gratitude and Love,
Might also be from Anger, Regret, little Regard …? More complicated thus …
When people and events from the past come up, are brought up, sometimes they drum up, difficult things,
Important to realize, recognize all of it, but not dwell on it, for your own well-being,
So many wars, and dead, and families left without, sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, uncles, aunties, sisters, brothers, wives, husbands,
Too many,
From so many human conflicts deteriorated to killing one another rather than that same energy poured out to resolve,
Blood first poured out, we demand, “not my blood, yours instead …”,
The Revolutionary War, The War of 1812, The Indian Wars, The Civil War, The Spanish-American War, World War 1, World War 2, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, two Iraq Wars, and The War in Terror, on-going,
And these just American, countless more in human history, countless more, countless millions cut down, lives lost,
Let us simply remember that, and them on this day, let us remember the lives and the people on this day, and every,
On this Memorial Day, and every, let us remember, simply remember with Respect and Gratitude and Love, let those reign, let love reign.
