As our oldest kid accelerates into the teen years, communication seems to be one of the keys to successful parenting in this new era.

On the front end, feels like we have a ways to go.

Two parts to Communication: one are the methods of communication; two, the content of the communication, what is shared, when, how frequently.

Bottom line, better communication makes for better relationships. Full stop.

All parties involved have to participate. Full stop.

Don’t use communication as a lever to control; use communication to be better at collaborating and cooperating.
