Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

It goes like this for me mostly, about the idea of “America”, the “Great Experiment of Democracy”, the ideals written into the US Constitution, the Rule of Law…for that I feel patriotism…and for the opportunities I’ve had by living here, most appreciative…

For the leaders in my lifetime, for the rah rah of “USA USA”…not so much…maybe not since the 1980 Olympic Games,

It’s…complicated…I support the ideals, and the good America can do in the world – ie disaster relief – but not so America First…not so.
