Eminent Status, the term they use when a patient is nearing the end of life. Things soon to change.

My mom has been in hospice care for the last several weeks. As I think I’ve shared elsewhere, my mom is 87 years old and a 29 year stroke survivor. So she’s lived a long time in disabled status.

After a fall two months back, her relative zest for life has come down considerably; not eating or drinking much. Blood pressure coming down.

And so hospice care; and so eminent status. A life well lived all things considered. And now we wait for the final curtain.
