I could not agree more with the sentiment that follows.
It’s from a dear friend, who has a keen understanding of such matters, as she comes from a historically conflicted and sometimes volatile homeland.

War 💣 v. Peace 🕊️
Sipping my morning coffee and scrolling through the news, my mind slipped—once again—into a conversation that feels futile by now:
Why is there always money for war, yet never enough for peace, the arts, healthcare, or caring for our children and elders?
No matter who is in power, no matter the administration, this imbalance never seems to change.
At times, it feels as though we are being trained—slowly, systematically—to forget kindness, to shed our humanity.
Rhetorical “musings”😞
