Number One, First Born, AGL. Now firmly into the teen years, adolescence.

Eligible for a driver’s license before too long.

Has been a good student and continues to be; smart cookie (my own bias noted); she has a solid friend group too, enough grounding and extreme blended together to have bits of different experiences, perspectives.

That friend group has inspired her to try running track; alleluia! She’s not much of a sports enthusiast, so anything that will motivate her to move her body, three cheers Hooray!

She’s a great blend of thoughtful, mindful, funny, curious, gentle, certain, quietly powerful.

I could not be more grateful, proud, blessed to have her in my life, truly!

And so on your birthday, dear A, wishing you all the good things as you mark another year on this earth, so glad to be your dad!
