DIY. Do it yourself. Very popular now in the era of YouTube and TikTok, so so much content to help people fix things, make things themselves.
I have definitely benefited from this content. And really, I’ve had a desire to be more hands-on whatever possible, to fix things myself if I can, and save money.
I like to think it comes from both my dad‘s generation, and my grandfather‘s generation.
My dad had a workbench, and loves to take her and fix things himself. And my a turtle grandfather built his retirement house with his own tools and hands, certainly with a general contractor signing things off as well.
So around the house repairs, and simpler, appliance fixes, over 30+ years, I’ve become more confident at giving it a try. And that online DIY content certainly helps with that learning.
Do it yourself if you can, GOOD.
