What sacrifices have you made in life?

Sneaky simple, this life choice I’ve made, circumstance plays out such, such is life,

Mom stroked when I was 29, decided then and there I wasn’t leaving town, though it might have been nice, living in other places,

Rather, staying close to home to be around my fam, helping the cause over and over,

Grandparents final years, around for that too, glad to be around for that too, helped where I could with them too,

Service out of love, sneaky how the decades click off and a life is lived, ten thousand sacrifices, choices to help others it feels my path as worn deep over time,

Meaningful, purposeful life my underlying goal, carrying the cross, no sacrifice at all.
