One Last Time

Not the Hamilton ballad, but certainly a phrase expressing similar sentiment, sitting on the house back-deck, where I’ve spent much of the last couple days,

Cool, gray morning just now as I write, cold brew sipping, pondering this time, and dreams last night,

Silly indicator of my deck-time, also sitting at the rocks breaker just above the high-tide water line, slight sting from an unexpected sunburn on my shins, top of my feet,

Geese & gulls, wander the wet sands of exposed inlet bottom, crows adding their morning song, calling out this beautiful day,

Interrupted by human and dog walking onto low-tide sand, bucket & digging stick in hand, must be here for the mussels, clams,

Another easy day underway at Coos Bay.
