I find myself in between yet again.

Two different mentalities, trying to coexist inside my head.

The first is the Jocko mindset. Jocko Willink. Navy SEAL Commander, retired. Leadership and management consultant. Jujitsu Black Belt. Discipline and Adaptability are the two key traits on this side.

The second is the mindset of Rick Rubin. Record producer. More success with more varied artists including the likes of Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, Tom Petty, Slayer, the Dixie Chicks, and Johnny Cash, among others. Guru of all things creative. Balance and practical imagination are the cornerstones of this side.

I want to be on both sides. I feel drawn to both at different times; hell, I NEED both at different times.

Sigh.
