Prime is a fun word. And there’s Optimus prime, and the sports drink, prime, there’s prime time, but I prefer the mathematical reference.
My dad was many things, and one of them was a math guy. m
ath, major in college, math teacher for 40 years, top math in high school, night school for adult education, he loved numbers.
I remember several times over the course of my childhood, him pointing out prime numbers, I think back in chuckle now. What an interesting and yet obscure thing to notice in every day, prime numbers.
41 was my number in football for a good reason. I liked it; still do! And it’s a prime number. The thirteen prime number on the number line. 13. That’s a good one too!
And I still notice prime numbers out in the wild. Because of my dad.
