Opportunity

I saw this quote from Thomas Edison as part of the signature line for a supplier I’m working with.  I’ve seen it before, and you probably have too.

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”  Yep.

We can reset our attitude to a positive one with this simple reminder.  Having a chance, getting the opportunity for progress or an otherwise positive outcome…often there’s no real magic in it, no need to be anxious.

What it amounts to is taking a deep breath, rolling up your sleeves, settling in at your work space, and getting after it.  Doing the work.  DOING THE WORK.

Every day.  Reset.  Attitude.  Resolve.  And go forward.  Progress takes effort.   Effort creates opportunity.

And one more tidbit about Edison’s attitude says a lot about how he was, and why he was successful.  Here.
