I tested positive, then one daughter, then the other,

A couple days of slowing things way down, attending to immediate symptoms,

Days past, normal drifts away, routine, expectations, time,

Like the tide ebbs, much of normal does too,

Waiting for the illness to recede,

Waiting for normal to return,

When?

Soon I hope, soon.
