So often my mind focused on things to do, tasks, progress; so often my next thought is, slow your roll, dude…!

As RUSH sings in the song “Second Nature”, “…I know that progress has no patience, but something’s got to give…”

During this hot July Fourth weekend, listening to the fans swirl in the early morning light, kids still asleep, I think about staying cool…and just plan “staying”…

Staying in the moment, in the now, present, with whatever I’ve got in the immediate,

And fully living in that moment, that tone, time, whatever is right before me,

Before you go thinking I’m off my rocker — though entirely possible — I consider my life for a moment not in perpetual motion, and I have the notion is better sometimes often times to be entirely in the moment, and that’s all.

Considering this heat wave we’re currently in, a way to cool down too, is not to move too much, too fast,

Cool down, sip ice water, stay, cool, inside and out, Stay, Cool.
