Small Moves, Redux
The theme returns, Small Moves… Progress has no patience, but the queue remains, so long! No matter, one thing at a time the only way, For some tasks, it’s set things in motion, let others do their work, then circle back, For other tasks it’s all yours, hands on, so the work directly and swiftly …
Silence Is Golden
I got a polite, professional talking-to recently. It did me good. Too loud, too bossy, too invasive. All those things I strive not to be. Watching my kids soccer game, “too” into it, too vocal. True dat, I CAN be noisy. I certainly get excited. I get fired up. Good check, tempering down. Good practice, …

“Hey Dad, Can I Wear A Flannel?”
Perhaps one of the apex things one of my children can ask, especially my younger daughter… “Hey Dad, can I wear a flannel…?” It both delights me and cracks me up. I love it. Not sure exactly why. I think some of it makes me feel needed. Some of it is leftover from night school …

Stop the worrying, start the deep breaths, week off with the kids for love’s sake, Just feel things slow down, LET things slow down, it somehow the simmering angst persists, Why so, why so? Stop reacting, stop fretting, start realizing these are the best moments, the moments that matter, Stop the flip-flopped priority of work, …
