Humans, we try mightily to control our circumstance. I wonder if we’re the only species that does? I don’t think it can be so, but it seems humans often go to the extreme in this matter.

In the end, we often have little say as to how things end up. At least, from external forces, nature, actions, bigger than we can control or influence.

I think about people who are victims of natural disaster, or armed conflict, war… I think about more than 2 million people in Gaza, who have almost no say in what will happen to their lives currently. They might die the next minute from an airstrike, or other explosion, or gunfire, or starvation.

It seems to me, survival, and going forward if we can, these are the only things we can really control.

Let us go forward together, regardless of the circumstance.
