I often get caught up with big, complicated plans and projects and goals,
Forget the importance, and magic, of simple things.
I rarely say no, accepting suggestions and proposals and recommendations, life things piling up to the sky, wanting to do more, do my share, give,
Until I can’t. Until I’ve lost track of the little things that make it worthwhile, that are the very fabric of life,
Those simple, little things, that if you miss them, you’ll look back and think,
What was I thinking? We’re the big things worth it?
Not if the cost you your peace, not if they cost you the simplest thing, your peace.
