Approaching TEN: Half_Full, All GOOD

As we approach the ten year anniversary of this blog, I wanted to go way back to the beginning, to remember why it all started.

Happens that this first blog post was just a few monthes after the birth of our third child. We had (have!) two others, who were born in 2011, and 2012 respectively.

I was a few years into the company I was working for; actually as it turns out, I only had a couple more years to go before I would transition to the next work chapter.

As I think back, I know we were in the thick with being new parents, having three toddlers, and pouring ourselves into that; with work demanding the other big chunk of life time, I’m sure I decided it was time to reset the writing practice, to finally, regularly share publically from my little corner of the universe.

And no doubt, the blog title and motto so proclaimed was where I was coming from. It’s where I’m still coming from today.

Since 2014, the kids are off to a pretty good start in life. My dad passed away (he lived a good life). The kids mom and I ended our marriage a few years back, but are doing ok with co-parenting.

LIfe goes on. The sun still sets everyy day. The sun also rises. And it’s ours each and every day, to make GOOD. I’m sure trying.

Half Full, All GOOD

ON JULY 10, 2014

“Half Full, All GOOD” was a phrase that came to my mind some time ago as perhaps the most succinct description of the attitude I try to maintain, and energy I try to share with those around me.

The gist of phrase (and the blog, the tweets, the message, the mission) is to find and share positive stories woven through our shared humanity. The Half Full, All GOOD Blog will do just that:

Encourage others to…

Think Positive.

Be thankful.

Maintain a Positive Perspective.

Find good things where ever and whenever you can.

Look on the bright side.

And bundle all that GOOD up, to share it with those around you.

Such a path in life will create more GOOD.

That’s what I offer, that’s what I’m about, that’s why I’m here.

Hope you take a little good away when you leave, and spread it around.

And come back for more; I got plenty more where that came from.
