It’s my mom’s birthday today, 86 today, lived so much today,

27 years since her stroke,

Watched her oldest marry twice, divorced twice, three grandkids there,

Watched her youngest marry once, still married, one grandkid there,

Husband passed, my dad passed, now six years back,

Mom still carrying on,

Bedridden, slowly fading, but carrying on,

Fun to see her smile, hear her chuckle, glad she’s still around,
