How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?

About fifteen years into a logistics career, a series of circumstances gradually, steadily guided me to make a change. It was time to pause.

Since that time, for now another eighteen years, I’ve worked in a few different capacities in instrument manufacturing —

First for a small, privately-held company that made test instruments for the oil and gas industry…

And now with a public-traded company that makes DNA sequencers and related reagent products for various sectors in the science community.

It’s been a good run…I keep learning new skills, systems, industries…continuing to grow, and enjoying the people and environment I work in.
