After a busy weekend and some bumpy sleep the night before,

Early supper, work clothes swapped for pajama pants and a flannel overshirt,

Cozy up in the rocking chair in the front room, looking out the window as the sunlight fades, NPR podcasts quietly running in one ear,

When darkness falls I’ll move to my bedroom, read a bit of a novel, play a word game maybe, sleeping before nine o’clock,

Spent after a fun weekend and long workday Monday,
