Autism Spectrum Disorder, ASD, catchy acronym, catch the wave,

Wave of frustration as you acclimate to new normal, was, is, always has been so,

So you take a deep breath, maybe ten, a hundred, maybe a thousand, feels like you need so much some times, to not explode but then,

Slowly, the realization sets in, my son with ASD, he experiences everyday with that feeling, the world not getting him, his sisters, his parents,

So he takes a deep breath, has to, maybe ten, a hundred, a thousand too,

Because we don’t react the way he expects, the world doesn’t,

And he’s expected to change, learn, grow, adjust,

Maybe that’s one of the central lessons as Autism Speaks,

Let’s both adjust, all adjust, to each other.
