One stat: 420

Ha, not really. It really a stat either…more of a number symbol…so anyway, on a more serious note…

Have shared this perspective before, but it’s so fundamental to who and how I am — and how I can improve — that it’s with revisiting.

Fundamentally, looking at numbers, charts, statistics … it just doesn’t readily speak to me.

After the Warriors lost to the Kings, I listened to a couple guys talk about the game the next day, and they were talking the statistics as a way of describing why the Warriors fell short.

Later, I looked at the starting five stats , which matched what those guys were talking about (of course), and I got it…I understood, BUT…

If I’d just looked at the stats myself alone, the narrative of the game wouldn’t have been as clear to me, the recap would not have crystalized for me.

That’s it. Good lesson. Glad I’m at least aware of how I might get more understanding out of the numbers…and on we go…
