Watching a 20+ year music video recently, it was Semisonic performing their hit “closing, Time” on the Jay Leno eta Tonight Show.

Semisonic killed that less-than-five minute performance, from start to finish. The song was tight, the band was loose, each transition was spot-on.

And then the moment that I watched that, I thought, “it’s so important, if possible, to rise to your absolute best in the important moments, in the moments that matter, when you are offering your true and authentic self to the world …”
