As long as humans have organized and lived in community, maybe even longer, I suspect we’ve pursued some sense of justice.
All over the world, in every country, it happens: striving for Justice; longing for Justice; fighting for Justice; keeping the faintest flame of Justice lit even in the face of overwhelming, crushing suppression.
Here in the US we have plenty of challenges in pursuit of Justice. PLENTY OF CHALLENGES.
In the realm of political corruption, there’s plenty bubbling up right now. Of course there’s Donald Trump, former President and Current Republican Nominee for President in the 2024 race; also a convicted felon; and also facing at least three other cases that are pending adjudication.
But it’s not just Trump, not just Republicans.
Two prominent Democrats have also been indicted and/or convicted of felony corruption.
Bob Menéndez, Former US Senator; tried and convicted of political corruption.
Eric Adams, Current Mayor of New York City, indicted for political corruption.
Lady Justice must be blind, and fair, and ruthless I pursuit of Justice for all.
An ideal worth chasing: Justice For All.
