What comes next?

Deep concern for our country, for so many.

Retribution and vengeance in leadership are no way to run a government. Yet that is what we have now elected.

The deep sense of worry, bewilderment for our people and our country,

A babbling, absurd man, clueless as to the needs of most of our people, a felon, an abuser,

The buffoon leader and hapless nation appear on the world stage once again.

We have rejected leadership with joy, empathy, and unity,

In favor of a man and movement addicted to nihilism, cruelty, and division.

The storm we must now endure. Many deep breaths needed now, these next four years,

Oh the darkness has descended, heavy turbulence ahead,

Steady, America, steady.
