For 45 years, the Cupertino DeAnza Lions Club has held an annual Thanksgiving food drive. From the beginning to now, we have grown the project to feed about a thousand people each year for the holiday.

Here’s how we do it.

An empty gathering hall, some good organization and creative thinking by many Lions, and the massive generosity of many many people, come together to fill that empty hall over two days, culminating in two food boxes with a Thanksgiving turkey dinner and staples for about a week, for about 180 families, we figure that’s about thousand people. All through generosity and willingness to serve others.
