“Happy Easter, Bro”

I went to the Santa Clara Memorial Park on Sunday to visit my dad. It had been a while and I wanted to see if the jade plant we had left along while back was still there.

As I was sitting on the bench thinking about my dad, these two young guys on mechanized bicycles came, cruising through the park; I’ll admit, initially I thought, why are you cruising through a memorial Park, rather than staying on the street…

A little while later, one of the guys was refilling a can with water, to take over to a grave nearby;

As he was walking back he said, “Happy Easter, bro“, to me; I said, and reply, “hey, you too, thanks.”

As he made is way back, his buddy was at the grave they were visiting as well; and then a little later, a maintenance worker drove up, parked his truck, and went over to sit with the two other guys. Clearly, they were doing the same thing as I, remembering someone.

Remembering love, still feeling the love, thinking back on memories, super important to spend the time to do so now and again… We can do it anywhere, but having a physical place somehow makes some difference.

Easter Season underway, lead with love,

GOOD.
