“Victory Goes To The Most Tenacious”,
Yes indeed it does, at least some of the time. And it did in the finals of this major tournament this year.
I don’t watch much tennis, but turned in the finals both days early morning, in honor of my dad, who was a life-long tennis player and high school coach.
What a show each finals match gave the fans! Truly great tennis and competitive spirit, start to finish.
Coco Gauff battled to overcome Aryna Sabalenka in three sets, to win her second major.
Carlos Alcaraz came back from a two set deficit – after falling short in tue previous eight such circumstances – to defeat Jannik Sinner in five sets, going to the ultimate finish, a 10-2 Tiebreaker.
Bonus fun to see the likes of Farrell and Spike Lee in the stands, inspired by the tenaciousness poured out in both finals,
My dad would have loved it, and am sure he was in the front row from the heavenly grandstand,
GOOD.
