A long while back – decades – older guys I looked up to used to say the word “rally” on occasion; for what ever reason, I latched on to it. Impressionable years!

Rally as in, “making extra effort to claw back, participate, get caught up, get ahead…”,

I still use the word today. As in the title of this blog post.

As you likely well know by now, I have three kids; and I’m a single dad (50/50 custody). I feel like it’s a “troika rally” every day they’re with me.

But, BUT…recently on the first solo day sans kids I had in a bit, I plugged in with three other people / things I care about in n top of the usual work day,

Two extra phone calls and one extra drive / visit ,

Gotta do it when you can, fit them in those folks you love,
