I didn’t know of his name myself until I read this article. So glad I did.
And then I got the bonus insight, a thought on parallel track that provided an even more thought-provoking lesson, at least for me.

Beyond the fundamental story of Daniel’s life and role chess played in his life,
Beyond that it hits me all the deeper that there’s not more about his cause of death. One can only imagine.
Of course, it’s a sports story and appreciation piece, I get that for sure.
One is left to wonder what other factors were in play in his life that lead to its end.
