And thus we remember, history and believers alike, those early, persecuted, to present,

Present day, in our lifetime even, those who persevere through trial and tribulations,

All those not especially blessed, but certainly special, a particular inspiration, vision, fortitude,

From the original Christian saints I learned of, up through today, and also I include the ancients from other traditions who also have much to teach us,

Gratitude, so much gratitude,
