Half-way into the morning commute recently, stop & go in Lane 3, it came to me again, the little voice in my head, “…practice some patience just now…don’t change lanes, don’t try to get ahead…just…chill…”
Not so easy sometimes, practicing patience. It was a good exercise for me in that moment, to shift my thinking rather than shifting gears and speeding just to most assuredly slow again with the highway full of cars going through the choke-points of that particular stretch,
Not so easy to practice patience, but I did anyway and then a little later at work,
Reading a particular email that felt a little intrusive to my work, practicing patience again, not getting riled up but rather calling up my calm with a couple deep breaths and a chuckle, and pause, and then on to the next thing
Practicing patience, it never fails to improve the situation,
Practicing patience,
GOOD.
