I say this all the time at my work: “Science is cool.” I posted to my socials on the regular. But why is it cool? Science is cool because it is the key to less people dying of horrible diseases.

At this point in my life I know about a dozen people (at least!) who have died from cancer; more than half of those people were younger than 70; a couple weren’t even 60. and the list goes on.

So science is cool, and over time it extends lives. And science progresses when there is more data to study.

The Trillion Genome Atlas looks to vastly extend the data set science has as a reference to make this world a better and place to live.

Science IS cool.
